Centennial Hall and Pergola

The Centennial Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most important monuments of modernist architecture. It is worth visiting not only for its historical significance, but also for the numerous cultural and sporting events that take place there. Right next door is the Pergola with its multimedia fountain, which offers spectacular water and light shows on summer evenings.

The Centennial Hall, also known as the People’s Hall, was designed by Max Berg and opened in 1913, and its imposing dome still wows visitors today. It is a true symbol of modern 20th century architecture. Its reinforced concrete construction was revolutionary for the time, and the hall itself became a model for many later buildings of this type. Inside, there is a spacious hall that can accommodate several thousand people, making it an ideal venue for large events.

Centennial Hall regularly hosts a variety of events, from concerts and music festivals to exhibitions and trade fairs and sports competitions. Thanks to its excellent acoustics, the hall is a popular venue for symphonic and rock concerts, and its exhibition space makes it possible to host large trade fairs.

The nearby Pergola, surrounding an artificial pond, is the ideal place for a stroll or a moment of relaxation among the greenery. During the multimedia shows organised there, the water dances to the rhythm of the music, creating an unforgettable spectacle full of colours and special effects. These shows attract crowds of locals and tourists who want to see this magical spectacle live.
